haplo Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 Hey I have a question, I have osCommerce v2.2 rc2 installed with Google Checkout module, currently when I click on the "My Account" or the "Checkout" buttons I get a bad security certificate error: (site) uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names: *.nocdirect.com , nocdirect.com (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain) I think it has something to do with DNS settings but no sure where, any help would be appreciated.
germ Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 If you haven't purchased and installed a dedicated SSL cert. you need to ask your host what the correct SSL URL for you should be and alter your config file(s) to match. If you DO have dedicated SSL it sounds like the SSL URL is not correct in your config file(s). That's the best I can do without actually visiting your shop and "kicking the tires"... If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. What is your HTTPS path? Are you using a shared SSL certificate?

haplo Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 It also seems I can go past the certificate error but then it gives me a 404 for the page, but I confirmed those pages are on the server and working
Guest Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 It also seems I can go past the certificate error but then it gives me a 404 for the page, but I confirmed those pages are on the server and working Either you are using a shared SSL certificate and have the HTTPS path wrong or your dedicated SSL certificate was not properly installed.
haplo Posted May 8, 2009 Author Posted May 8, 2009 I did not separately install a certificate, the hosting I use allows for an automatic installation of oscommerce, which is what I have working on a few other sites I host. For some reason this one setup the same way doesnt seem to work for those pages, and why just those? I can get tot he store and purchase items etc.. Any thoughts on how to resolve this?
