Guest Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I think the configuration file was not set correctly. Hi Folks, Can anyone assist? This error is holding me up atm! Thanks, Marc
MarcSc Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Hi, Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by not set correctly? How can I check/rectify it? Thanks, Marc p.s. The admin console works 100%. Just .../catalog gives that error.

Many thanks, Marc are your permissions set correctly? all files should be 755 and both configure.php files should be 644
MarcSc Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Yes, both configure.php files are set to 644. What must the other files be set to? How can I check the other files and folders? Can I simply set all other folders to 755? Thanks, Marc

It's a nice little program that will tell you what needs to be done with Permissions on all your store files.
MarcSc Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 Hi, thank you, that sounds great! I have tried to search for "check permission", "permission" and "check" and after sifting through many results, I wasn't able to find the post. Can you possibly point me in the right direction? Thanks, Marc
MarcellaE Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Hi, thank you, that sounds great! I have tried to search for "check permission", "permission" and "check" and after sifting through many results, I wasn't able to find the post. Can you possibly point me in the right direction? Thanks, Marc its a contribution not a post. Check Permissions
MarcSc Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 Great, I have installed and I am about to update. I will let you know how it goes. Thank you VERY much. - Very useful tool... Okay, I did a check, backed up and when I attempt to update I get the following errors for numerous files that need to be changed: Type Name Original permissions Actions / Results The directory backups exists, so this is OK. File ./logoff.php 644 Update failed File ./create_account_success.php 644 Update failed File ./login.php 644 Update failed File ./conditions.php 644 Update failed File ./stylesheet.css 644 OK File ./address_book_process.php 644 Update failed The list is obviously MUCH longer than the pasted bit above, but it appears as if all changes have failed. How do I correct this? Is there any way for me to do a "bulk/batch" update? Thanks, Marc
MarcSc Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 Hi Folks, Could someone please help! I desperately need to get the software up and running! Thanks, Marc
