Guest Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 I am wondering if I am doing something wrong with the home page or if it is just my server taking their sweet slow time to update things. I made some edits to my home page in photoshop and uploaded it. it has been over 30 hours and the page STILL has not changed. This does not make much sense though because before we installed OSC we had a different page up on the same domain/server and any edits we made updated as normal. Just wondering because I had a few problems with my server, the server company had to update some things and it took them like 3 days. it doesn't make sense though, shouldn't my home page update with the changes within a few minutes of uploading an edited file? My partner thinks we have to make any changes to the site pages BEFORE we install the site/OSC. This makes Absolutely no sense to me how he thinks this because that would mean reinstalling the entire site every time we wanted to edit the main pages/graphics other than simple small image file like logo or product images. So I ask is there a php file or something I also need to edit for the changes to show on site? Do I need to edit the .css file? LOST!!!! Please help thanx for any help new at this osC thing trying to figure out how to hit the learning curve ball, but like what I see.
♥geoffreywalton Posted May 8, 2009 Posted May 8, 2009 any changes you make to the files on your site, not files held locally on your pc, should update the next time you load that page. You can try pressing F5 to refresh the page. For more info on osc follow the Useful threads link below.
