Paypal Errors - Incorrect Item Value and No Order Number on Checkout Success

Hi All,

 

I've implemented the excellent instructions on how to add paypal to my OSC site. Upon testing the checkout system, I've come across two things.

 

1) On the paypal confirmation page (Pay Now), the ItemTotal is incorrect and doesn't reflect the value of the items in the checkout even though the VAT, Post & Packing and Final total are all correct. Could this be down to checkout not posting the correct value over to Paypal?

 

2) Upon returning to checkout_success.php, the customer order number is not shown even though the order has been given a order number. All the details have been followed through including the invoice number, but no order number is displayed to the customer after successfully completing their payment.

 

Any solutions? I've tried searching the forums and Google, but no-one seems to have come across this.

I've had a quick look and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary?

 

Credit 30

Low Order Fee

Shipping 20

Sub-Total 10

Tax 40

Total 800

 

To give an indication, a item was purchased at the value of £1.00 ex / £1.15 inc VAT but in PayPal, the Item Value was listed as £0.50. The same thing happens with a different product priced at £471.05 ex / £541.71 inc VAT.

 

All the VAT, Shipping and Final Total's were correct but it seems not to be posting the Subtotal if you will over to PayPal.

Just a note to say that I've managed to do a work around of 1) by using PayPal IPN instead of the PayPal Standard as this let me combine all the VAT of the shipping and the product so only subtotal inc VAT, shipping inc VAT and final total show up on the PayPal confirmation screen.

 

IPN still hasn't solved the second issue of not showing the order number on the checkout_success.php screen - so if anyone still have any ideas?
