Some but not all Thumbs not working

I have search but couldn't find a solution.

 

I have Image Magic install. Some of my thumbnails for my categories does not display.

I am working on a few other things but this is the most glaring atm..

 

I looked at the permissions and it doesn't seem to make a difference as some work and some don't with the same settings.

Seems to be a strange issue, never used Image Magic so I won't be much help but if you look at your following page:

http://www.hartsbatteries.com/industrial-batteries-c-33.html

 

The first image doesn't appear, you can see this by going to the link below:

http://www.hartsbatteries.com/imagemagic.p...;h=85&page=

 

But if you change the image dimension from 85 to 80 it shows without a problem:

http://www.hartsbatteries.com/imagemagic.p...;h=80&page=

 

I would look at your dimensions and re-read the Image Magic instructions, it could be that you may need to remove the images width and leave it blank so Image Magic can calculate it for you.

Thanks for the reply. I actually figured it out and took the time to reduce the actual size of some of the larger pics. It didn't like the file names I used. I had to shorten the file names down to 4 or 5 chars or less.

oops ! I spoke too soon! My fix lasted one whole day. The thumbnails went away again.. Now I am beginning to think it has something to do with Image Magic.

 

Any ideas ?

My apologies to you IVUM ! I should have went with your solution the first time ! I changed my thumb size from 85 to 80 in admin and that seems to have done the trick.

Ok.. The fixes last only a day or so and now the thumbs are not showing again!!!!

 

So every time I change the image size in admin, they work but go away the next day or several hours later.

 

I have also changed all the names to 4 or less characters all lowercase.

 

Wonder if its the image magic ?

Sure enough. Its image magic. I turned it off and all of the thumbs show just fine. Unless. turning it off is like changing the size and temp fixes it.

I would remove Image Magic if you are having problems and try another thumbnail contribution, the one I use can be seen below:
