Need Help Badly!

Hi. Thanks for looking at my post. A few days ago, I wasn't able to use my outgoing mail. Then a couple of days ago I realized I wasn't getting any orders and was receiving these UPS errors. Now today, I checked the credit card module and, low and behold, that's not working either. I suspect they all went down at the same time since I hadn't received any orders in 4 or 5 days. I haven't touched my site's code in months. It all seemed to fail at once for whatever reason!

My email error says: Message Delivery Failed. Verify that you have addressed this message correctly. Check your SMTP server settings in Mail Preferences and verify any advanced settings with your system administrator.

The server response was: Authentication turned on in your email client.

You can try to send using a different server. All messages will use this server until you quit or change your network settings.

My shipping module error says: Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home4/subcitiz/public_html/includes/classes/http_client.php on line 330

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to production.shippingapis.com:80 in /home4/subcitiz/public_html/includes/classes/http_client.php on line 330

My credit cards just have the standard: Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance. That error is from my website. When I check with my Gateway/Merchant Account people no credit card transactions are taking place. So, they are neither declined or accepted. That's how I know it's broken.

Can anyone tell me what is happening? I totally appreciate your help!

Thanks,

Jason

If it's not you, ask your webhost. Send them your error messages also.

Thanks. I've been on the phone with them for at least two hours. They're giving me the runaround. If it's a server problem, how do I convince them to fix it?

HI,

I would suggest asking then first for the latest backup from your site if you have not got one!!!

To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.
