purplemartinart Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 When I attempt to make a new sitemap I get TONS of pages which are my main page. I am not too computer saavy so excuse my not knowing the proper terms. Seems like the sitemap generator is indexing a bunch of duplicate pages maybe something to do with sessionid's? The urls have osCid and all link to my main page. I was trying to figure out a way to specify on the robot.txt to not crawl duplicate pages since the sitemap generator will obey the robot.txt file (I am using sitemapdoc.com) so with that said will this hurt or help Disallow: /index.php?page* thanks all Thanks, Susan Proudly uses Oscommerce!
Jack_mcs Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Use the google sitemap contribution (see My Addons). It will create the maps correctly and all them to be kept up to date without you having to do it manually, which you would have to do with a site like that. Ronaldinho53 Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Jack, I am currently using Chemo's Google Sitemap Feed V1.3 and am experiencing a lot of missing condition values. Will your version remedy this?
