Hello everybody,

Can anyone place few tips about how to make your service (e-shop, hosting, IT project) more attractive and have more visitors, customers.

In example let's talk about forum marketing, but not spamming or something like this.

you need to search engine optimisation to get the keywords drive your traffic for you.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

Here you go!

1. Appropriate Keywords to Optimize

What terms should an online store that sells many different products emphasize? And how should a general-interest Web site that covers a wide range of topics determine which search terms to focus on? Optimizing your site for terms that no one ever types into a search engine won't generate any traffic for the site, no matter how conscientiously you pursue the optimization.

2. Title Tags and URLs

your title tags should be central to your SEO efforts and make every title tag on your site unique. If you give them all the same title, no one knows they are about different things. Search engines today consider keywords in your URLs much as they do keywords on the page itself.

3. Backward Links

If you want to rise up in the rankings for a certain keyword or phrase, you need to encourage others to use those keywords in the anchor text for the link to your site.

4. Meta-Morphisis

Tags that can and should be used are Author, Keywords, Description, and (in some cases) Robots. you can also set your description tags to dynamically include the article’s title, similar to the way we did for the title tags.

5. Manual Submission

Google does an extraordinary job of crawling the web and finding new websites. But if Google just so happens to miss your site you can always submit your URL manually. You can also submit an XML sitemap, which may help your ranking as well, by using Google’s Webmaster Tools.

6. Mind the Flash

Notes that the closer your content is to plain text, the more easily and completely search engines will be able to spider it. Search engines today are better at working with Flash than they used to be, but if you're more interested in strong search results than in a flashy interface, text and HTML are still the way to go.
