westkoast
1. o.k. so a user signs up, and leaves some items in their cart. 2. user comes back to site, but doesn't log in YET 3. user adds items to cart, and checks out 4. Final page has the contents of current cart plus previous cart.... The "keeping cart contents" feature is great if people log in at the VERY begining each time, but if someone decides to log in towards the check out...which many people do.... they will find a cart full of stuff on the last step of the check out....then they have to delete the stuff, and do the WHOLE check out process again. I need to read the rules more often...
mugitty
You'll notice that there is a notice on the login page that says "NOTE: Your "Visitors Cart" contents will be merged with your "Members Cart" contents once you have logged on." While I see your point, what do you do for the customer that puts something in their cart and wants to return later to continue shopping? You might want to add something to your 'shopping_cart.php' page to the effect of: Please note: If you log out or close your browser with unpurchased items in your shopping cart, they will still be in your cart the next time you log in. ... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking, try being a Foster Parent!
