Guest Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Hello, and thanks to anyone who reads this. Extra thanks to anyone who can help me. Extra Extra thanks to anyone who thinks this post is in the wrong forum but is nice enough to let is slide. Extra Extra Extra thanks to anyone who is tempted to reply with "google it". The stock osCommerce database backup (admin/tools) is great for vanilla installs. My problem is that I've installed so many contributions and made so many modifications myself (many panicked and misguided:) that the only way I can backup the database anymore is through PHPMyAdmin . This is fine, except I have no idea how to automate this process. Does anyone know how to backup the database automatically? Better yet, does anyone know how to backup automatically and have the script email a copy of the SQL file to the store owner? ( Like I said, stupid newbie question, and probably not an osCommerce question, but I can't be the only one who would like to know where to start :) Second question - What ever happened to Chemo? Thanks to all, this forum is a BIG part of osCommerce, and I can't thank you all enough. People helping people...whoda thunk it. J
