snydl0ga Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I have a site that has been up for several years and I have two admins set up but now I have to change them for the new owners and I can not find where to setup admins. I looked in the database and don't even see an admin table. Any suggestions? Lance

snydl0ga Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Could you be using the directory security available through your isp's admin panel. I looked at that and the current logon I use for OSC is not listed in the ISP's admin panel. I am wondering if maybe the ISP side of things got changed or reinstalled. I can't seem to find the current OSC logon anywhere in my security settings. Lance
germ Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 If it's a small box that pops up in the center of the page asking for a username and password it's protected by a .htaccess file. Should be a place in your cPanel to add or modify the logins. I think that's what Geoffrey was alluding to. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. Yes that is the type of logon....I can only find one logon listed in there but the one that logs me into OSC is not in the Server admin area...I will try to find the .htacess file and work it out with the hosting company. Thanks
