1. Locate the xampp folder created in the installation.

2. Unzip OsCommerce you downloaded. Extract "catalog" folder.

3. Inside xampp folder is another folder called "htdocs", place the "catalog" folder inside it.

4. Open your browser and type "localhost/phpmyadmin" no quotes

5. login user: root and no password

6. If you're prompted to create or have a password, do so. Remember your database username and password. You'll need it later in the installation.

7. Once logged in, type a name for your database in the input box, click create. Remember the name of your database. Exit

8. Open your browser and type "localhost/catalog/install" no quotes

9. Continue with installation

<--At this point, you have not created your database yet.-->

<--right here, log in to phpmyadmin to get to your database server.-->

4. Open your browser and type "localhost/phpmyadmin" no quotes

5. login user: root and no password <-- your user credentials for phpmyadmin

6. If you're prompted to create or have a password, do so.

<--start installation-->

8. Open your browser and type "localhost/catalog/install" no quotes

9. Continue with installation
