New way to display items

I was thinking of always being able to display all of my items, then as I click on subjects, they filter the results.

 

So say for example... all of my products are shown even on the main page, then when I click on products of type "A" then that category of products will be the only set of products that will be shown, and then if I choose subset "B" then a smaller grouping of items will be displayed, etc, etc. Until I get down to just one product.

 

If you know of a contribution that already does this, I'd appreciate it if you'd share the knowledge. :)
