dealrocker Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I am a newbie web designer and never created any e-commerce website before. Just looking towards creating a furniture website with shopping cart, and need help in figuring out the best and easiest way to do it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
burt Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 What have you done with oscommerce so far? have you installed it?
WoodsWalker Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Hi Dealrocker, As burt has noticed, you haven't given us much to go on... I came to osCommerce with a reasonable knowledge of HTML, no knowledge of PHP, a love of code, and lots of determination. Also, of course, the desire for an effective e-commerce website. If you are in a similar boat, then osCommerce may be for you! I have had great success with it. Some others on this forum have pointed out that ZenCart is good too, and a little easier for those uncomfortable with code. Hope this helps, ~Wendy
AlwaysNewbie Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 The easiest way is to use ecrater. Just google ecrater and you will see what I'm talking about. No fees, no any charges, free hosting and sitebuilder. It will give you a simplest and free way to create a store. It will have limitations, but, again it will be free and you will have a store in no time. It will be good for beginning, especially if you want to know how well your product will sell. And one more thing: it will be work with no glitches and you will have your product in a Google Products search. The only bad thing is it is limited. I tried osCommerce, I tried creLoaded, I checked ecrater also. My site uses open source product, not ecrater, but I will use ecrater also as additional store. Computers777dotcom
