Shared SSL Issues

I've moved from a shared SSL provided to my own permanent one. I've installed the new SSL ok but ine issue is causing me concern. The links on my site seem to be pointing to a different url which has 'c5.ixwebhosting.com' within the URL. I beleived this is the URL from the shared SSL. How do I get rid of this?

I cannot see a link to this name anywhere in my conf files or in my .htaccess file. Can anyone please advise. Thanks.

In the includes FOLDER (catalog and admin) where the normal configure.php files are there is a FOLDER named local

On some installs there may be a configure.php inside the local FOLDER (catalog and admin)

If there is, anything in it overrides anything in the normal configure.php files.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

Thanks for the reply.

The configure.php does appear in the local folders but its really the same as the ones in the main catalog and admin includ folders.

The weird thing now is the Products links on the left-side of the page no longer have the 'c5.ixwebhositng.com' in their url but now they dont work - when I click on them the home-page just reloads. But the Blue images under the logo still have 'c5.ixwebhositng.com'. I'm really confused as I have logged a ticket with Ixwebhosting who installed my dedicated SSL and i'm not sure if this is as a result of ehat they're doing.

I have a url re-direct in place so from www.heatingspares247.com to https://www.heatingspares247.com/catalog/index.php. Is this affecting any of my issues?

You can view my site: www.heatingspares247.com.

In the Admin set 'Use Cache' to false and see if that fixes the categories.

If that works, and you want to turn it back on, somewhere in the admin is a button to reset the cache. You may have to find it and click it.

I don't know where it is (I don't use the cache).

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

The 'Use Cache' setting was already set to 'false'. I found the reset cache button and did a reset but issue is still there. Any more thoughts..?

How is this taking place - .htaccess?

And why not just move the bloody shop to the root and blow-off the redirect!

My hosting company have sorted out the links issue as they messed up the installation when moving from a shared SSL to a dedicated one.

germ my web skills are not as advanced as yours - can you tell me how I can move the shop to the root so I can get rid of the redirect..?
