Guest Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 Hi all! I've setup a project which can be seen here. The website has been live for nearly 2 months and has took orders already so am happy. I have now come to a dead end on how to improve the website and would like suggestions from you. I have also setup a Poll on the right hand side so if you've got an extra 2 mins could you also answer that on the website please. Any suggestions/advice are always welcome! Please note that the website is live so please don't do any test orders :)

natashome Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 1. the store is very clumsy...way too much text spread over the home page... 2. the blue color is again eye hurting on all pages and on the white background...make only the titles that color and then the rest of the content a lighter black like #333333 or #222222 3. on a product page..make the product name 1 color, the price a similar color to that and the actual description a darker to black one with that blue all over the place is hard to see anything or read it..you can also combine it with a slightly darker orange good luck
Guest Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 I like the layout, but there is a lot of text on the front page. If you took some of that out, the pics would show more. Cute costumes. I would add more description to each costume, but maybe I only looked at ones that aren't done yet. I just can't get past how many times you wrote "fancy dress" in there! Holy doodle. Seriously, I'm not trying to be mean, but if I went to a site that put the same words 500 times on each page, I would just leave, wondering "why the heck?" :blink: Your pictures are nice and clear, but dangit, I wanted to see the Little Britain accessories! I bet they are hilarious. And Rule #3 on the Prize Draw page is great. Cheers

The only thing I see that's a little off is that your first box, Categories is off by one pixel. I'm pretty sure you can fix this by shortening "Children's Costumes". Good luck!
