jswan
Hi: I need to figure out how to calculate shipping based on drop shipment per item. My store is made up of products that will be send directly from the manufacturers. I want to be able to calculate the shipping charges based on the manufacturer's zip code. Necessarily, this will need to be done on a per item basis. Does anyone have any ideas? I think I will need to start by adding fields to the database for the manufacturers' address info. Then, modify the UPS shipping module to calculate for each item. I don't know... Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason :?:
fsiano
Hey Jason, I am in the same boat as you. I did exactly what you did and it seemed to work just fine. Although I know it would be nice to be able to keep the origin of the store as your home location then a separate shipping zip code and not only with the different shipping options. Maybe someone out there can help us out. PM me what types of products you work with and manufacturers. Maybe we can trade some sources Thanks Frank S
