Guest Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Hello, I ran into two problems with the New Products box/module on the main page. 1) The text " New Products For April " how would you remove this? 2) The header corner images seem to stay there even after I edit the boxes.php file. Any suggestions would be great. I am new to oscommerce and doing my best to learn as I go. I have been taken notes for each problem I have or any solution I find on the forums for my problems. Sometimes I can not find the solution to the problem I have though. Thank you, Jake
masat Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Jake, This is the same issue as you are dealing with in you box gap problem. Check trhough this forum... http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=295660 that is the sts contribution forum. They should be able to help you there. There are over 200 pages in that forum (should give you a hint about the contrib). I am not being mean because I know how much work, time, and frustration that has been put towards that contrib and my hat is off to the dedication of the contributors. I am sure there are several coders available that use sts alot and could probably answer your question quickly. This forum is mostly for fresh installs/core coding type questions. I did download sts and looked for quite awhile for your issue but it is just to far from norm for me to hunt through without loading it all up and monkeying with it. Do check out that other forum I think it is geared more forthe type of answer you seek. How do you know when you know what you want to do for the rest of your life?
Guest Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Hello Tim, Thank you very much. Yeah I spent a few hours sifting through that thread. However I will post there to see what the outcome will be. Thank you very much for the advice and the time that you spent posting this and trying to figure it out also. These forums are great for many reasons and I can already tell that I will be a regular here. Btw I did not take it as you being mean in anyway shape or form. I am happy to have had someone reply at all. Some scripts/cms's have limited support and or members that tend to be a bit on the ummm not so " new guy" friendly. This is by far not the case here in these forums. Thank you again friend, Jake
