Installation error

Can some one help with a problem I'm getting when finishing the installation the following happens:

 

It displays....

 

Finished!

The installation and configuration was successful!

 

And it will send me to a 404 Not Found when Catalog & Administration Tool buttons are clicked.

Looks like you're trying to install V3.0 Alpha ?

 

WHY ????????

 

 

V3.0 is NOT FOR USE YET . It was released for testing only. Use V 2.2 RC2a

 

IMPO it should be taken off the download site and only available to those who are prepared to beta test it.

In fact the server I'm using has the option to install OSC but when I install that one and it wont let me log in to the OSC Admin panel. I found a post with the same problem and some one sugested to run a query. I did but nothing.
