horsemaniac Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 I'd like to know how long does it take for Google and Yahoo to recognize new external links coming to a website. Thanks for the info.
WoodsWalker Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I'm not a HUGE expert in this, but I'd say it depends on how often the search engines send spiders to the external sites. If they are active, popular sites, it will take less time than if they are new or obscure sites themselves. I'd estimate the range to be anything from a couple of days, to a month. Perhaps someone else might give you a more specific estimate. ~Wendy
spooks Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 there are so many factors its impossible to say, are the links relative to your site, are they paid (bad if google finds out), page ranking of linking site, are the links set up so google can find them and so on... horsemaniac Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 so basically it has nothing to do with my site getting index, it's more about those sites getting indexed where i have submitted my link, thank you for the info

I forgot about that myself. Good luck! ~Wendy
