How to - Execute the "common.sql"

Hi,

I have searched for a solution to this question - Execute the "common.sql" and have found a very good reply which says"

Most webhosts have a control panel that you log into.

When you have logged into the control panel , you will have to find the databases section.

Click on the phpMyAdmin icon.

Select the user to configure database via phpMyAdmin and click on the Login icon.

A new window should open for phpMyAdmin.

In some cases, you may have to choose which database your OSC tables are located on. If this is the case, please choose the database from the list or the drop down box at the left.

To run a SQL query, click on "SQL" on the navigation bar (on the right side, click on the SQL tab at the top).

Then copy the code from the sql file and paste the code into the text area on that page.

Click on the GO button and it is done.

If all goes well, your SQL query will now be succesfully entered.

Please would someone advise as when I log into PHPMyAdmin there is only 1 "SQL" tab which is on the top of the main panel which opens a "text area" but WHERE do I find the files "common.sql and english.sql to get the required code to paste in.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Les

At a guess, they would be included in the contribution you are installing.

Thanks for your reply.

I have looked through all previous versions of the "add on" and they all give this instruction:

1. Execute the "common.sql" with PHPMyAdmin or another MySQL-Client, as well as "english.sql"

This person horribly confused????

Purchase Without Account has

common.sql

danish.sql

english.sql

etc

as well as the install instructions you are reading.

open the sq file in a text editor and copy and paste the contents as per the instructions given in your first post.

Alternatively you browse to where you downloaded and unzipped the add-on on your pc.

So obvious when you know  I often wonder why it is that sometimes we do not see the obvious??

Thank again.

Would anyone know if there is an add on that would allow a customer to just eneter their name and e-mail address, as I do not need all the shipping details etc.?
