Guest
Since osCommerce 2.2 is being updated on a daily basis, I'd like to get a feel for how often people really upgrade their installations to the latest. And how they manage the mods you put into your current installation. If I spend an hour updating the oscommerce templates to look and act how I want them too, is their a quick way of applying those mods to the latest snapshop without having to recode everything in by hand once I install the latest snapshot? My osCommerce store is installed in /catalog/ so I suppose I could install a newer snapshop in /catalog2/, then apply all the changes I made in /catalog/ to /catalog2/.... then cp everything from /catalog2/ to /catalog/. Is there a better way of doing this?
Ajeh
Unzip just the newer files. Then, use Beyond Compare to compare those files to your files. As you update a file, be sure to update the header tag so you know what version you are current to. This can be done daily or weekly or however is convenient to you.
