Help with a simple issue im sure

I bought a template, now I am trying to install but it say turn register global to on, however i have heard this i un secure, is there a way to make it so the template does not need this on.

there are contribs to update, Register Globals Easy http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5729 works best, BUT Unfortunatly templates contain non-standard often out-dated code that is often somewhat modified from the core version

 

For the most part you need to be good at coding to fix/modify templates, but then if u were you would'nt have bothered with one in the first place!!

 

Your best bet is only get templates where support is provided & they have regular updates, but most do niether.

 

Additionally some hosts now turn off rg & will not let u turn it back on!!
