Halfhidden Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I have looked through the forum.... but cannot see the answer I seek. I'm sure it's out there and I'm just missing the point. I have successfully build a site and the thumbnails are showing up on the front page... but..... there's always a but. I have pictures of both landscape and portrait pictures on my site.If I set up the thumbnails as say 90x60 the portrait thumbnails look good but the landscape look really bad.... if I set the thumbnail settings for 60x90 I get the opposite effect. Is there a way to make separate thumbnails to the large pictures and set those attributes up according to landscape and portrait...... or am I making a nonsense statement. <_<
Halfhidden Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 Darn it... I think I need to answer my own post. Am I right in thinking that I should only set one attribute, the width or the height and nothing else......... duhhh! I'm really sorry about this.... I know that you are all busy people and can do without the likes of this.

I have successfully build a site and the thumbnails are showing up on the front page... but..... I have successfully used the Smooth Pictures contribution #5938 to resize uploaded pictures for use as thumbnails within osCommerce 2.2.ms2. NOTE: You will need GD to make it work! Essentially the concept is that you make a small change to '..../includes/functions/html_output.php' so that your image is parsed through a script and resized output is created on the fly as required.
