Gogleion Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Hello, I've just installed osCommerce on my server in hopes to set up an online store. However, I have been getting problems with osc communicating with my mySQL database. I'm getting the message: Access denied for user '[email protected]'@'97.74.144.113' (using password: YES) I'm getting all of the database information through phpMyAdmin, so it seems like there is a problem with my password. I'm using the exact same password that I used to set up the server via GoDaddy Hosting Control Center. My question is: Is there any modification to the password required to log in with osCommerce that isn't present with GoDaddy?
Gogleion Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 I've found the answer, no need to reply any more. Solution: I was using the wrong username to get in. The username should be the name that you specified in GoDaddy, the servername comes from phpMyAdmin, the password is the one you set up in GoDaddy, and finally, the database name is the same as the username.
