Guest
Hi All I have been looking about trying to get a shipping solution but everyone I see that would suit my need seems to say that it is made for "the new checkout procedure" that was introduced in Nov '02. I am running a snapshot from 20th Oct '02. Can someone tell me what are the differences between the 2 procedures and how ( and how easily ) can I upgrade to this new procedure? Cheers
mattice
It depends on the module. Some variables simply are not available in the older snapshots. This doesn't mean you can not reach them though. Which mod are you looking at? Upgrading to the newer snap is also a possibility. I've done it before and it took me a few hours with a diff program (Beyond Compare is good) Mattice "Politics is the art of preventing people from taking part in affairs which properly concern them"

ukracer
Found an answer to my shipping problems from Phil Townsend @ [email protected]. He had a great contrib that helped me no end :D Cheers I thought you had already seen that one Paul?? I have tried that one and even got new files from phil himself but as he is still on the old snapshot they do not work for me. Admins this snapshot stuff is getting might annoying. why not rename the versions so we ALL know where we stand and perhaps this would encourage new users to only use the latest snapshot and also encourage updates to the contribs for the new snapshots. can someone tell me why its so difficult to do??
