products weights as option

I have a shop containing pet food.

For each type of food, I have several packs, each pack having a different weight, for example, I have a product for pupies, but this products exists in 0,4 Kg pack, 12Kg pack or 20Kg pack.

I would like to have one product called "puppy" and use the "weight" as an option.

 

1st problem: how can I manage the weights of each product ? In my example, I created the puppy pack, I chose to give it the minium price and weight. But the other packs are options, and I'm not able to indicate their weights.

 

2nd problem: in the product option attributes, I chose no suffix, and the program seems to consider it as a minus sign. That means that when I choose the 12kg pack, it cost -15 Euros !!!

 

Anu idea of what I could do ?

 

Do you think I will have to create one product for each pack, I mean will I have to create a product called "puppy 400gr", another called "puppy 12Kg" and a third called "puppy 20kg" ?

In that case, is there a way to make the products appear as a "one product" ?

 

I'm not sure if I made myself clear...
