Guest Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I thought my site was still in test mode on Authorizenet. It seems an order just came through. I looked at the order and it had the customers CC number. Please dont tell me these are stored or recorded. The last shopping cart I used I never saw the credit card numbers it was all done on authorizenet's site. Does this mean i really need to look into really tight security or find a way to keep CC numbers from being stored in the order information? Pat
Guest Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 it all depends upon your payment modules installed. do you also have the plain generic credit card module installed? one way to make sure things dont go through is to block the checkout process file. send your customer an email letting them know you are still developing the site and dont have any products and that nothing went through to authorizenet

But how do I prevent credit card numbers from coming to me and only going to authorizenet. I have no need to see them or store them. I dont even want to see them? How do I protect my customers and myself? Pat
