bdmtours Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 my site is up and running. i tested the transaction which is stuck in a processing phase. i think this is due to the fact that the oscommerce site is not linked to my bank account. i don't see how to do this. plz advise.
Guest Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 You do not want to link to your bank account. go through paypal or some payment gateway like that. if your volume is quite a bit then you want to have a merchant account setup where you can take credit cards. you will also want an ssl certificate and static ip when you get to that point.

The site generated an invoice, but the money has not been debited from my credit card... and if it had been how would i retrieve the money and from where? that's why i thought it should be linked to a place for deposit. i am using a shared ssl. in the past i worked with a website that had their own ssl and it made more sense cause we had to have a credit card set up for the transactions... this current configuration doesn't make sense to me. i have activated the following modules: credit card, paypal, psiGate, securepay what is the reference to the payment gateway... is that what i need to do next? if so, how?? i know to people who are experience this sounds like a stupid question, but the phone support people said to find my answer here. thnx in adv.
Guest Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 i have activated the following modules: credit card, paypal, psiGate, securepay Credit Card - this module just take the credit card information. It does not process it. Paypal - processes it through paypal providing you have set up paypal correctly and the module. Psigate and securepay - if you have applied for and been approved for an account with either of these companies you can activate the payment module and enter the info that they sent you.
