EMail Questions

I recently started working for a company whose online oscommerce store does not email. The info on the store is: 2003 osCommerce CRE Loaded v6.2... The scripts/files have been modified for alot of different things, but the one problem I have not been able to solve is why the email functions do not work with email addresses from our business, which is a big problem because most of our users/customers have email addresses from our company.

 

The store site is hosted elsewhere but the mail server is here at the company.

 

In other words my school email and other outside email addresses work fine. It emails me when I sign up, forget password, or details change.

But when using an email like [email protected] it does not work. No sign up email, no forget password emails, and if you try to send from Admin panel no success. Either way the site gives the success text when completing any form for email. Just no email shows up.

 

I have checked multiple sites and files with no progress.

 

Any help would be great.

May sound silly, and I'm no email expert, but could your company be filtering these as spam? There was another thread on here about changing the default return address from something like '[email protected]' to an alternative (i.e. [email protected]).
