Danny74 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I currently use AWstats to keep track of my site traffic. However, I noticed that my site counter doesn't reflect the same visit values as AWstats. For example, AWstats states that I receive 24 visits, but my site counter reflects 3 times as much. Why? I'm not sure what's going on here. Could someone shed some light on this?

I'm not sure what's going on here. Could someone shed some light on this? It could be that the AWstats counter counts visits by IP address per session, so if a visitor refresshes 10 times in a session on a page it will only show as 1 visit. The default counter as far as I know will increment by 1 every time you refresh.
