all products on main page

I have different catagories and products on my site. When I add different products from different catagories they all appear on main page bundled together. The do show up when I click on catagory as appearing in the catagory. Is there any way I can keep this from happeneing. Lets say for example to just place instructions informing my visitors to click on the catagory to see what is in that catagory instead of everything being lumped together and confusing.

I think you are seeing NEW ITEMS. Try limiting your new items to 1 or 3 in your Admin. I havent tried it but see what happens when you make it 0. I'm not sure if it will turn off the feature or if you will get a New items bar with nothing under it.

As far as I know the bar will show up... the solution to this is

in your catalog/index.php delete this:

<td><?php include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_NEW_PRODUCTS); ?></td>

but pls make a backup of your index.php first... as you always do ;-)
