.css reset every 24h

Hi,

I'm customizing my oscommerce to look like my web site. I cerated a new .css and it workds for 24h. Every day when I get back to my web site the old .css is back. Is there a link with OsC? I also want to change permission on the configure.php file to 444 but it takes it back automatically to 644. Any ideas?

Are all files being reset once a day, or only selected files? Have you checked if you have a cron job (task manager on Windows server) that is doing a file restore daily? A daily backup I can understand, but not a restore! Can you look at your account access logs to see if someone else is getting into your system (to mess with your mind)? You may have to work with your hosting service to see why old files are being restored daily; it's certainly not something built into osC.

WRT the configure.php permissions, how are you changing them to 444 (read-only)? It's not clear to me whether you are successfully changing them and then the daily backup restore is resetting to 644, or you are just unable to get the new permissions to "stick" at all. For example, if you're using cPanel's File Manager to change permissions, you have to tick/untick the boxes. Do not type in new permission numbers -- they'll be ignored. If you're using FTP, maybe you're doing it wrong, or for some reason you don't have authority (coming in as FTP) to change permissions (although, if you can overwrite a file, I don't see why you couldn't change its permissions).
