tech12volts Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I am new to web building, and have run into a bit of a snag. Yesterday, I logged onto my admin panel, got into the site, added some products and categories. Then I logged out. Today, I clicked the bookmarked tab for the admin panel.... I can't get in. It just gives me the "OOPS! Page not found!" page. I doublechecked all my config files in my FTP site. They are set to 644, read, not 777 write. Is this the problem? Can anyone offer any assistance, please? Thanks!
tech12volts Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 I'm wondering if it's just as simple as uninstall and reinstall oscommerce?
tech12volts Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 Ok... uninstall and reinstall didn't work... Same thing. When I click the URL listed in the installation message, it sends me to the "OOPS! Page not found." site..... Perhaps it's not something wrong on my end?
Jack_mcs Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Can you display the shop side? If so, then add /admin to the root url, asuming that is the name of your admin. Your bookmark is probably incorrect. tech12volts Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 Part of the problem is that the domain is not yet pointed at the InMotion hosting server. The site still resides on Go-Daddy. On InMotion, a temp URL has been set up to allow me to build and test the site before going live online. Unfortunately, every time I try to submit something to the temp URL, it automatically redirects it to the site URL and I still get the PAGE NOT FOUND message. I just added the /admin/ to the shop and it redirected to the real URL, which doesn't have the osCommerce cart attached......
tech12volts Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 I got it. Inmotion tech support had to reroute and reconfigure things on their end. They are very helpful and have put up with all my questions and issues with great patience. I just hope these configuration issues aren't a sign of things to come.....
