There is a pdf document included in the downolad package which explains alot to the beginner. Click on the blue tab labelled Solutions at the top of the page, and then oscommerce.

Hi, Thank you for your reply.

I saw that file, and it is a huge file to download (especially on dialup) and unzip just to get the pdf file you mention.

I was hoping I had just missed where a downloadable manual (or even a beginner pdf as you mention) might be sitting on the site.

The oscommerce is already installed on my server host, but they offer no support for it, instead referring people here.

I have since found the online info at http://www.oscommerce.info/ but can't always be online and would like to research my setup whilst offline.

 

Any chance you can email me the pdf?

Thanks. I would like to see the beginner info first, but will bookmark the page for future reference should purchasing a guide become necessary.

right now I just want to discern that oscommerce can do what I need without needing a degree in oscommerce to do it.
