pipeline Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 I was wondering if someone could help me. I am trying to create a ecommerce website using osCommerce. I have invested many hours in loading my product information into osCommerce. Everything was going very well until I decided to make some changes to the banner and the language options among other things in administration tools. Now by virtue of the changes I made I can not enter the admin area or even view my site. I get the following error messages: Warning: require(includes/languages/.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nnjl190/public_html/store/includes/application_top.php on line 288 Warning: require(includes/languages/.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nnjl190/public_html/store/includes/application_top.php on line 288 Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/languages/.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/nnjl190/public_html/store/includes/application_top.php on line 288 When I click on (function.require) I get an "error 404 - page not found" message. I had a backup (I thought) but when I went to restore I got nothing. I'm new to all this and don't have a clue as to how to fix the problem. I would be grateful for any help.
Guest Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 did you move the files out of the catalog folder - looks like the error mean "can't find the page" I had this when i had files outside of the catalog area. i had to put all the files back in the catalog then i was able to use the admin login.

pipeline Posted April 5, 2009 Author Posted April 5, 2009 did you move the files out of the catalog folder - looks like the error mean "can't find the page" I had this when i had files outside of the catalog area. i had to put all the files back in the catalog then i was able to use the admin login. I was simply performing edits in the admin tools menu. I didn't move any files that I know of. I am suspicious of some editing I did in the language area. Being from the US I was attempting to change the British flag icon to the US flag. The language was set to "english" and there was a .gif file that presumably was the British flag icon. I was playing around with these items thinking I could do no harm. I tried changing "English" to "American" and I wiped out the .gif file among other things. I forgot to take note of the original selections and when things went awry I couldn't back to where I was when I started. Thanks for your response. If you have any other ideas I'm all ears.
