Mail not working on test site

Hi all and help please help. :blink:

 

I have set up a test site of my live site (as I am sorting out a separate issue regarding payPal) Everything is the same except for the email addresses in the configuration panel.

 

For this or whatever reason, everytime I need to send an email (either when updating an order or from Tools > Send Email) I get a 500 Internal server Error Page). I am assuming theres an issue with the admin/mail.php as this is whats being used to send mail.

 

This is an issue as this is interfering with the other issue I am trying to resolve. Any help would be gratefully received.

 

Configurations under Config > Email Options are:

 

E-Mail Transport Method sendmail

E-Mail Linefeeds LF

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails true

Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS false

Send E-Mails true

 

But I have tried different setups all to no avail.

Forget it, I've got around it by disabling email. Thanks anyway now I can press on with the matter in hand.
