Register new account form problem!

Im currently testing my os shop and i was testing the register for account and when i fill in the form i get this error;

 

Error Please select a state from the States pull down menu.

 

I dont no why it says that as im from the uk, have i just not set something right???

No Craig its default action, either disable the state in admin / configuration / customers

or try install the AJAX solution from the contributions.
