how do i start accepting credit cards?

My store is finished and ready.

I have also purchased an SSL from my server.

Now all I have to do is set up the store to start accepting credit cards from customers.

How exactly do I go about doing that.

I know it is in the administration panel but does anyone know what I have to do exactly.

Hi hoverdave,

 

You'll have to setup an account with a Credit Card accepting entity. Most people go for Paypal but there is a few of them out there. In my case I use World Pay. Call them up, fill up some online forms, pay them and also note that they will take a cut from your online sales (in my case 3.5% of every product sold). Once all that is done, you'll have to comply with their terms and conditions and when that is settled, you'll then need to set your osCommerce to accept Credit Card payments.

 

Than can be a process in itself but there are many here who have gone thru the process so just post your questions here and hopefully someone will give you guidance.
