iLLuSiOnS
For some reason, randomly 1 out of like 25 orders, I get a duplicate order, for example I get 2 of the same exact orders right after each other. I have a feeling the customer is clicking on the "Confirm Order" button 2 times, but the last duplicate I got, the orders were 6 minutes apart. Can someone help me please. Thanks in advance

iLLuSiOnS
It is a big deal to me when the orders are almost a thousand dollars. There must be a fix to this... Anyone?
spooks
its not an osC fault, its your site, sid issue http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?sho...c=330479&hl Sam Remember, What you think I ment may not be what I thought I ment when I said it. iLLuSiOnS
Thanks spooks, I read your article. You are right, I did turn off sid's because i didnt want taht ugly characters to go after the products url. I have ultimate seo's installed, will that cause a problem with sid's? Also, if i prevent spiders from having a session, will they still be able to surf my site? also, on my site I have disabled the creation of accounts and users have to put in their info every order no matter what, will this interfere with sid's? How do I turn on sid's? Thank a lot

How do I turn on sid's? Thank a lot Ulimate seo mearly hides the sid, but you must still follow the rules to ensure that that 'hidden' sid is valid. Even though customers don't have an account, you still need the sid to keep track of thier cart etc. Spiders do not need, or want an sid, so you must ensure they don`t get them. You may have heard of the 'canonical tag' that is one solution to that issue. If googles index contains the sid every customer following that link has that sid, so the same cart as everyone else that also followed that link, & any adding to cart adds to everyone elses cart that followed that link!!! You don`t 'add' the sid, you ensure that osc keeps the sid with tep_href_link, ie every & all links use tep_href_link, equally, as I said, ANY LINKS POINTING TO YOUR SITE MUST NOT CONTAIN A SID B) Sam Remember, What you think I ment may not be what I thought I ment when I said it.
