hts-direct
Hi All, I've looked high and low for a solution on selling flooring online. What I want is to be able to input the square metre price and then have a java calculator to work out the price when a lenth is inputted along with a dropdown selection of set widths ( 2/3/4/5 metres and adjust the price accordingly. ) If any one can point me in the right direction or build me the complete solution from scratch I have the funds waiting. Pretty desperate for this now! Thanks, Ashley
Guest
Hi Ashley, Perhaps your looking to automate the process a little too much. I have done sites in the past where the customer is required to know details before purchasing the product. In this case, I would include a flooring calculator in the information box so the customer can figure out how much they need. But, would set up the product catalog as per meter costing with board width attributes. example: So, 2 would be base price $1.00/sq meter 3 is 1.50/sq meter 4 is 2.00/sq meter 5 is 2.50/sq meter With the calculator provided on the information page, the customer will know how many sq meters are required and can enter the amount into the product they want. If you google flooring calculators, you will find MANY that are freeware that can be implemented into the site as an information page. I hope this helps.
