rikpotts
Ive got MS2 060817 installed at the moment. A day or two ago I installed a contribution which I later discovered is for RC2. I could just uninstall the contribution but given that I have to upgrade at some point I might as well do it now. My webhost does the upgrade but after reading the small print it seems its only safe to upgrade a vanilla install. The OSC website only has upgrade instructions for RC1 - RC2. Ive googled my heart out for MS2 060817 - RC1 (or even RC2) to no avail. Does anyone have a link I could make use of? Many Thanks
Giovanna
If you download the rc2 package in the extra folder it has a .txt file that will tell you how to upgrade from ms2, after the .txt file follow the instructions in the upgrade.html Then in the folder above, it has another upgrade.html After all them.. You upgraded your shop. I've done it, its mind numbing but do able.

Jan Zonjee
Many Thanks. Im gonna get into it right now. You could try these instructions for upgrading from 2.2 MS2 (you already done part of it if you done the 2006 upgrade). I haven't checked these instructions yet so it would be nice if you told me what is wrong when you do try to use it. Of course using the RC2a downloaded files and a compare and merge tool should be your first option, together with simply swapping out files if you are sure you haven't added any contributions to it. At least it gives you an overview which files are involved. This will be uploaded as a contribution when I'm finished with it. In that case I will remove this zip again :) Edit 2009-03-30: replaced the file after checking the first 23 files. There were some errors in there. Edit 2009-04-02: replaced the file after checking all files. Should be error free now. Edit 2009-04-05: removed the file. Can now be found in the addon section. True. I have to upgrade one myself and lost track half way through so I decided to write this because following the updates and having to open a file, make a change and save it up to 6-7 times drives you completely nuts :)
