true-tigger
I have been asked to work on an os commerce site for someone. They have a heavily customised version of oscommerce from 2005, with custome templates, ect. Problem is, having a few problems installing updates on the old code. IS there a way to update to the latest version, without loosing the customisation that has been made to the site?
web-project
without loosing the customisation that has been made to the site you will loose all of them, unless you remember all of them and you can re-install with up-to-date version of them. Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
true-tigger
See its not me who put them in. Someone else who has given me a very cluttered version, with some very silly changes (obviously didnt want other people updating it). Ok well thanks anyway.
