thejudge Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Hi All Im wanting to know if anyone knows how to add a % markup to costs on products as I sell items in an industry where cost prices change from the supplier almost every hour. We have a catalogue of over 4000 items and are provided with a csv with model number and cost so I would like an easy way of setting up a cron to run and update the costs and stock levels every hour. I presume the best module would be easy populate? Ive seen a few contributions about but they seem to for setting markups after the pricing is set rather than fixing the % markups and the cost changing under it eg. category 1 - 10% markup (cost + 1.10)= sell price category 2 - 8% markup (cost + 1.08) = sell price and so on. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be great!
Guest Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Andrew, There are several contributions that will do that. Here is one: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/122 Chris

So basically if the item cost/sell price changes you have to do it all over again. I want the cart to store the margins so I dont have to keep going back in remembering them and reapplying everytime i do an update.
