mazza
This seems to be a nice wysyiwyg-editor (open source, cross-browser, nice quality html-code). Has anybody looked into it if it could be made into a contribution for articles and product descriptions ? http://www.hexidec.com/ekit.php "Use no way as way, have no limitation as limitation." - Bruce Lee
Guest
The fact that you have to dowwnload a 5MB file/plugin to get it working probably turns the vast majority of people off of even trying it. Gunter
maxman
You may want to take a look at a very nice and (FREE) WYSIWYG editor replacement for HTML <textarea> fields. It is based on Javascript and is just a little over 40k in size! http://www.interactivetools.com/products/htmlarea/ Hope this helps! Frank
mazza
I have used it as it is already made as a contribution. But I am pretty anal with my html (or should I say xhtml). And this does not cut it, as it uses mshtml (3.2) from Internet Explorer. It is not the contributors or the original creator of the program. It is microsoft. Way around this would be to "find and replace" somewhere along the the line (at submitting in categories.php or in database or output in product_info.php). Or I could try to use some Java or Flash based wysyiwyg-editor that can be customized or writes decent tags Or I could wait until Microsoft fixes their browser  As even their all-so-migthy Content Management Server 2002 .net still uses the same API, I aint holding my breath waiting.
