Hi, brand new to os commerce having just recieved a kick in the teeth from paypal who have just pulled the rug on my web trading as I do not conform with acceptable use.

Before I re-invest 100's of hours setting up with os commerce, can anyone direct me to document outlining anything I am not allowed to sell on my website.

For everyones info. I am a UK registered firearms dealer, trading in sporting shotguns and rifles and associated accesories.

thanks,

Paul

I found a link to PayPal Acceptable Use Policy if that helps any.

As far as what you can or cannot sell that will vary depending on country and locale I would imagine.

Not sure what else to say except there has to be some web page sponsored by your local or national government that would either provide a list or someone you could contact (I would think).

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

thanks, yes, note the bit about certain firearms, firearm parts or accessories, ammunition, weapons or knives. Thats me, eventhough I have a legitimate RFD (dealers licence) paypal dont like it. OK, my fault, I should have done my homework before signing up.

What I now want to know is, does OS commerce have similar policy, if so, where can I find it?

osC is just the software.

As far as I know you can use it to sell anything you want.

All the source files say:

Released under the GNU General Public License

You can read that here: GNU General Public License

osC has a Trademark Policy and Copyright Policy (top left of this page under "About Us").

I don't think you'll find any document pertaining to what you can or cannot sell using the software because that varies by country and locale (as I said before).

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
