Hi there, been looking at OSC and am interested in it. What i really wanted to know is can it be adapted for selling photos online? e.g. people can go online > go into an album > add a photo to the cart (selecting the size they want printed) then pay for it > order gets sent through.

I think really it would be similar to the specs / layout of the ktools one.

If anybody could let me know that would be great.

possible but you will need to optimize for your needs.

Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here!

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.

Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.

Have a look in the contributions and see if there is something to suit (red community tab at top of page).

Yes, that can all be done using the in-built download controller and product attributes system. The main thing you will need to be concerned with is protecting your images. Images are easily taken from a site, regardless of the protection, and that could put you out of business. Actually watermarking them is the safest way to go and showing only thumbnails will help. There are contributions to do both, although the watermarking isn't the same as a real watermark.

Hi there, thanks for the comments. I dont want people to download photos from the site as yet. Perhaps in the future. All images would be watermarked in photoshop so taht shouldnt be a problem.

Due to the ammount of pictures being taken what i really need is a control that you could upload an entire folder of photos (say 100) and it would create a product for each photo (with standard attributes) and all of them would be held in one category.

Is it possible before adding ot cart that the user would have to choose the size of their print that they wanted?

My only thing with easy populate is that you have to add all the products in, so even if you can copy all of the other data, it means you must type in 100 different image names, upload the csv and then upload the images i assume using FTP.

What would be ideal is a web interface, select the folder you want to upload - then for each picture in that folder it would create a new product for it. You could then also specify which category it would go into. Is there anything like this around?
