Quote Only ?

Hi OSC Would,

 

I have been a long time user of OSC and love it...

Not sure if this is the correct location for this question, but here goes...

 

I have had a request from a customer for a new OSC Setup but he does not want to put prices on the site. He wants to add all of his products

then when a user visits the site and adds items to his basket, he wants someway to make the users order be sent to him as a 'Quote Request'

so he can work out a price (his prices change everyday, very quickley) and then get back tot eh customer with the correct details and then he

will turn that Quote request into an order.

 

Is there any Modules that might be able to help ?

Or any other suggestions that I might be able to offer this customer.

Did you ever find what you were looking for regarding this?

the answer is the call for price contribution

I am not sure which one i used

but instead of displaying call for price change the text to Quote Request(or whatever you decide) and it works great

but then the shopping cart gets colplex with some of the wording if you sell items for a cost also - so mixing the two requires alot of thought for the checkout

I did this recently for a customer using my Request Product Info contribution (see My Addons). The contribution will notify the shop owner of the request. You would also need to delete the checkout butons and use the Call for Price contribution if you don't want those listed.

If you create one payment module with description "Quote Request" will resolve it. Maybe one new type of status will be better to manage it!
