theicemancommeth Posted January 30, 2003 Posted January 30, 2003 Good Day, I have to make a modification to osCommerce and I'm wondering if anyone has tried this before. If you have, let me know if it's feesable and what problems I may run into. Basically, I want to run a Virtual Mall. I installed the Virtual Mall contribution, but I need to allow each Store owner to administrate their products. I've decided the best way to do this is to have multiple installations of osCommerce (one for each store). But, because this will be a mall setting, I have to allow for a user to sign up in one spot and have that account work across all installations. I imagine this would mean some work to the cookies as well. It is not necessary though for the shopping cart to be shared. I've never been to a (real) mall that allowed me to walk from store to store picking up stuff and paying on my way out of the mall. I don't think this should be any different (plus, handling the accounting would be a nightmare down the road when we add merchant accounts). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
