Guest
I'm loving this OSC so far - really. Does anyone know how i may get round this little situation. I need to charge customers certain rates for delivery, which i think i have done by adding 4 different zones to the shipping module. Customers in UK pay x, customers in the EU pay y and US pay z. All others pay xxxx. They all pay according to their order total value. The delivery method is 48hr for all EU and UK based deliveries but there is a charge of an extra ?3.50 for 24 hr delivery. Does anyone know how i can integrate the extra charge for the 24hr option? Am i describing this okay? Thanks for your help...

Guest
Robin, Have you looked at all of the available contributions for ideas? Have you read the documentation that came with your download? there is a very good section on making shipping modules. BTW- Bumping your post is against the forum rules. Guest
Andy, When you unpack the osCommerce package in the "folder" there are 3 directories; tep-docs, catalog, and admin. In the tep-docs there is a good tutorial on custominzing shipping modules. I think it or something like it is in the contributions section. Thanks kim I have now spent 3 solid weeks on trying to get shipping working. at this rate it would be easier for me to go and sort the shipping out manually :) I had it working earlier tonight and now its started charging way more than it should again and I have done nothing different...........thanks for your reply. Guest
This type of shipping seems to be a recurring request. It has been suggested to me to use the international zones contribution (which works by product weight) and to set the weights for all products to the same as the price. I haven't tried that yet, but will let people know if it works. I have also tried duplicating the table rate shipping module 3 times - 1 for UK shipping, 1 for Europe shipping and 1 for Overseas, but when it comes to changing the constant and global names in the duplicated copies and language files, i get errors about non-existant tables. I wonder if someone might be able to talk through how to sucessfully duplicate a shipping module in this way? Thanks Evan Brown
